The successful launch of this inaugural project took place in 1992. During the "...year of
drawing and more drawing..." George produced 20 charcoal drawings and a set of off-set prints in a signed and numbered edition of 50. Subscribers each received an original drawing and a folio of 20 prints. The Draughtman's Contract drawings and prints were descriptive of the painter's life in Western Australia and Fremantle in particular.
